Board Assessment
In our Board Assessments, a senior consultant from Peter Barron Stark & Associates interviews each Board Member, the CEO, and a cross-section of the senior management team. The assessment and recommendations will provide actions that can be immediately implemented to help to build an even more powerful, productive Board.
Objectives

Methodology/Interventions
The assistance in achieving the objectives could include, but not be limited to, the following activities:
• Extensive one-on-one interviews with each Board Member, the CEO, and a cross-section of the senior management team
• An assessment will be developed with recommendations
• Individual recommendations will be provided, one-on-one, to each Board Member
• Recommendations for building a high performing Board will be provided based on the results of the survey
Phase One: Interviews, Assessment and Recommendations
A senior consultant will conduct one-on-one interviews, both on site and by telephone, if necessary, with each Board Member, the CEO, and a cross-section of the senior management team. The purpose of the interviews is to generate an accurate assessment of the challenges and opportunities that your organization and the Board are currently facing. The types of questions that will be addressed in the interviews include:

• Meeting Effectiveness
In addition, information gained during the interviews will allow the consultant to customize the content of proposed recommendations, customize feedback to individual Board Members, and facilitate a productive strategic planning Board Retreat
Phase Two: Providing Feedback and Recommendations
The assessment and recommendations will be provided to the Board in a one-hour to 90 minute presentation. One-on-one feedback will be provided privately to each Board Member either in person or by telephone. The purpose of conveying the assessment and recommendations prior to the retreat is that, when the off-site is held, the Board can get right to work with team building and strategic action plans.
Phase Three: Facilitation of Board Retreat
A senior consultant from Peter Barron Stark & Associates will facilitate a productive retreat utilizing the information gained in the assessment. The overarching goal of this session is to enable the Board to take the necessary actions that will allow members to build an even stronger Board with even higher levels of communication, teamwork, and trust.
